Katz Residence

Rochester, NY

The design of this urban residence allowed the owners to move from their suburban home of 30 years into a smaller downtown location without leaving familiar comforts behind. To make the house feel larger, double-height spaces, large window walls, and translucent elements flood the rooms with light.  A palate of rich woods, stone, concrete, and panels of fabric embedded in resin were used to create a warm yet modern environment.
