Half Moon Bay, CA
This pavilion is designed to attach to an existing vacation house that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It provides a private master suite while leaving room for the owners many kids and guests in the main house. A simple and respectful structure designed out of concrete, glass and steel to withstand the unrelenting weather. A glazed bridge element provides an entry to both the main house and the pavilion. The design is inspired by lean-to structures with a solid back for privacy and a roof sloping up to a large window wall taking in the breathtaking views of the coast. A small wood burring fire place will heat the space.
