Budo, Japanese for grape, draws it’s inspiration from the Asian style food and the local winery buildings. The building was organized around a central dining courtyard in order to take advantage of the Napa climate while protecting the diners from the nearby street traffic. All the major spaces open up to the courtyard with pocketing glass panels. Throughout the dining and lounge spaces rough oak boards act as a wainscot culminating in the private dining room where they are installed floor to ceiling.
