The plan of this family winery was developed directly from an initial diagram, created with the owners and their winemaker, showing how the grapes went from the vineyard to the bottle. The courtyard created by the barrel building, a storage building, the tasting building and an open shed covering the tanks functions as a crush pad as well as compelling event space. An opening in the barrel building offers a dramatic entrance for the visitor going to the tasting room as well as provides a covered area for the bottling truck. The palette of stone, painted board and batten siding and corrugated metal roofing reflects the local vernacular while achieving a very contemporary feel.
